The Spark

There’s a local ‘free’ newspaper publisher that refuses to stop delivering their (unwanted) paper to my letterbox1. Every week I take the paper out of the box and carry it to the recycling bin. On recycling day I carry the bin some 75 metres to the road.

Trucks take away the contents and stuff happens to that unwanted paper. Before it even reached me air had been polluted and fossil fuels destroyed in order to cut down the trees, manufacture and print the paper and carry it to my letterbox.

What a profligate waste. And the polluters refuse to stop. That bugs me so much.

This blog is an attempt to reduce the amount of wasted paper in the world and so contribute just a little to saving the planet.
